Finding the right insurance, whether it be health or life, doesn't have to be as painful as root canal.  Probably the most important choice you will make however, is deciding whether to work with an insurance agent or try to make these decisions on your own.  Many of my clients used to think that they could find lower rates by either calling the insurance company direct or finding their own rates online.  The truth is that all rates for a specific plan are fixed and regulated so anyone who represents that insurance company has the same rates.  Our fees are paid by the insurance company after you enroll, and these fees do not affect your premium.  Also, calling the insurance company directly only means you will limit your choices since there are many companies in your local area offering similar plans and the customer service representatives are only trained on their own products.
